The Moray Steiner School Philosophy
Our curriculum extends beyond the basic requirements for academic qualifications. It follows the guidelines suggested by Rudolf Steiner and is delivered within a caring, sensitive and structured environment.
The education provided at Moray Steiner School responds to the specific developmental stages of childhood, nurturing each child’s imagination, natural enthusiasm and wonder and igniting a genuine love of learning, life-long.
Within an atmosphere of co-operation rather than competition, each child is able to develop confidence in themselves and their abilities. Respect for the unique value of each individual is emphasised, encouraging children to establish trust, compassion and an inner sense of values.

Music, drawing, painting, movement, drama, arts and handwork crafts are integral to the teaching of all subjects.
Through them, education becomes a living, creative process that enriches and enlivens, offering both sensory and intellectual nourishment and encouraging creative participation and free-thinking.
The rhythm of the school year reflects the changing seasons, cultivating a strong environmental awareness and deepening understanding of self-sufficiency and sustainability. From a very early age, all the children at our School experience making and building, planting and growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing food.
Our aim is to develop in the child a broader and more coherent understanding of the world in which we live. In doing so, we encourage a deep respect and tolerance for our environment and for our fellow human beings.
