Admissions Procedure

Applications are assessed on an individual basis and our aim is to meet individual needs to the best of our ability, taking into consideration the child’s age, developmental stage and other relevant circumstances.

General Steps for Admission

  1. We invite you to visit the school, during one of our Open Days (usually held in May and October) or on an individual guided tour.  We welcome the opportunity to guide you round our school, sharing the journey undertaken by children from Kindergarten, through Classes 1 to 9.  This is also an opportunity to ask questions and talk informally about fees.
  2. Complete and return an Application Form, available from the school office together with a non-refundable administration fee of £30.
  3. The Teacher of the class your child will join will contact you to arrange a time to meet with you and your child to ascertain your child’s individual needs in relation to their schooling experience and expectation.  Acceptance of a child into any class is subject to the outcome of this meeting.
  4. An applicant (not Kindergarten) is invited into the class for a few days if desired, offering the opportunity to experience the education and schooling environment before making the final decision to proceed towards enrollment.
  5. After general consideration between school, parents and pupil, an offer of a place is granted or refused.  Acceptance is conditional on parents signing a financial agreement based on the current schedule of school fees.  School fees range from £3175 per annum for Kindergarten to £4750 per annum for the top class.
  6. A new child is something we embrace as a whole school, and after the above meeting the teachers’ group, known as the ‘College of Teachers’, is officially informed regarding the starting date.  We then send you a letter welcoming you to the Moray Steiner School.
  7. These steps may vary in order depending on the educational requirements of each child.  In most cases, however, the admissions process should take no longer than 5 days.
